Getting started

How does ParentDeck work?

  1. School, team and activity emails come to your household’s ParentDeck address. You forward them, or your email app does it for you.
  2. ParentDeck reads each one and pulls out what matters: forms, payments, dates and changes. It sorts them by kid.
  3. You see it all on your Home page and calendar, and in a short morning email if you want one.

What should I send to ParentDeck?

Anything from school, teams, clubs and activities. That includes district messages, teacher notes, ParentSquare and Schoology posts, coach emails, and payment or form reminders. You don’t need to sort them first. Don’t send personal or work email.

What do I need to set up?

A few minutes, once:

  1. Add your kids and their schools.
  2. Check your district calendars, and paste team calendar links.
  3. Set up automatic forwarding in your email.
  4. Optional: turn on the morning email.

You can change any of it later in Settings.

Should I forward older emails to catch up?

Yes, if anything from the last few weeks still matters, like a form that isn’t due yet or an upcoming event. Forward those by hand, one at a time. Past events don’t need to be sent.

Coming soonA faster way to send the last two weeks at once.

How long until an email shows up?

Usually within a few minutes of reaching ParentDeck. A long newsletter can take a little longer.
